Comparisons

Honest comparisons,
including where we lose

Every page here names the other product, quotes its published reviews rather than characterising them, and has a section saying when it is the better choice. A comparison that cannot admit that is worth nothing to the person reading it.

How these are written

Three rules.

Reviews are quoted, never paraphrased. Every quotation is a published review on a public marketplace listing, reproduced exactly, with the rating and the number of reviews beside it so you can judge how representative it is.

Every page says when to choose the other one. Not as a courtesy — because these products are not better at everything, and a page that cannot say so is an advertisement wearing a comparison’s clothes.

We would rather be corrected than left standing. Apps change. If something on one of these pages is out of date or wrong, tell us and it gets fixed, including when the fix makes us look worse.

Or skip the reading.
